Defects:
Chipped paint in a few places, two drill marks from a postal basket on inside of the door. Glass is cracked in a few places but lead is still strong – see last photo/s.
Colour
Painted internally and externally in White (Matt) . Could easily be stripped down if you wanted the original wood-grain showing.
Comes with Black cast iron letterbox and lock surround.
Operating / Style
Opens inwards to the left when being opened from the outside.
Security
Has a multipoint ‘Union’ locking system making it very secure.
Missing Parts
There is no frame for this item, so you would need to get one made up by a carpenter or use your existing frame if possible.
Keys missing, however replacement locks can be purchased online or from your local merchant at a low expense.
Glazing
Glazing is original, single glazed and Distorted. Has a leaded pattern design on the glass.
Has had an extra pane of glass fitted internally but this could easily be removed.
Ideal if you’re after some high quality door at a fraction of the original price, as to order these new direct would cost considerably more.
