HARDWOOD-WOODEN FRENCH-DOUBLE FRONT DOORS-GEORGIAN BARS-1930S-ORIGINAL-RECLAIMED

1930s Original reclaimed/ antique Georgian Bars French doors (believed to be hardwood due to the weight of them).
Carefully removed by professional installers.

Condition

Pre-owned and has been previously installed.
Excellent/ very clean condition both sides.
Not bowed at all.

Missing Parts / Defects

Defects:
There is visible weathering which has resulting in the paint peeling off in some places, especially on the rain sill of the main traffic door.

There is some rot- 3 of the beading strips are slightly rotted externally and one part internally.

There is also some rot to one of the bottom rain sills.

Please see last photo/s relating to the defects.

Missing parts:
There is no frame for this item, so you would need to get one made up by a carpenter or use your existing frame if possible.

Interior letter box flap missing, there are no keys for the main lock so the barrel would need to be changed, however these can be purchased online or from your local merchant at a low expense.

Colour

The colour externally and internally is Gloss White, but could easily be stripped down if you wanted the original wood grain showing

Has Solid brass hinges with Gold Chrome handles.

Operating / Style

Internally opening doors.
When viewing from the outside, the main traffic door is located on the Left.
Hinges/ locks could be altered (holes may need to be filled) if you wanted the door opening/ operating another way.

Security

Single central lock as well as internal bolt locks on both doors making it secure.

Glazing

Glazing is original, single glazed and Clear.

Each pane is separately glazed, making it easier to replace any if required and offers extra security.
It also gives that high quality appearance with the Georgian Bars externally and internally.

Some panes have the original 1930s swirl pattern on the glass.

Ideal if you’re after a high quality French / Double door set at a fraction of the original price, as to order these new direct would cost considerably more.
