1930s Original reclaimed/ antique solid oak hardwood bi-folding doors bespoke/handmade by a professional joinery company.
Would cost thousands if you were to order something like these bespoke today.
Carefully removed by professional installers.

CONDITION

Pre-owned and has been previously installed.
Odd faint/ light mark in places, but nothing exactly noticeable.
Not bowed or rotted at all.

MISSING PARTS / DEFECTS

Defects:
Hardly noticeable signs of weathering to the exterior bottom section of a couple of doors in each set- easily sanded down & re-varnished.

Please see last photo/s relating to the defects.

Missing parts:

There is a bottom track/guide which is meant to be inserted into the ground for the doors to run in however it had been cemented into the ground during installation and was irretrievable. A new one can be sourced from the manufacturer of the hinges ‘Coburn’, or i believe ‘Henderson’ also do track to suit- see picture of track in ground.

COLOUR

The doors have been varnished externally and internally so original woodgrain shows.

High quality ‘Coburn’ Steel hinges with matching handles.

OPERATING / STYLE

Both sets have internally opening & stacking doors. The doors sit in a thin metal track sunken into the ground and are attached to wheels at the top which sit in tracks bolted to the adjacent walls, making them top hung. 

Set A (left in photo 1): The main traffic door is on the left and all the doors stack to the right.

Set B (right in photo 1): The main traffic door is on the right and all the doors stack to the left.

SECURITY

Each set has a main ‘Yale’ Chubb lock.
Both sets come with 1 ‘JMA’ key, which works with both locks.

GLAZING

Glazing is original yellow ‘bottle top’ design with no chips or cracks anywhere, single glazed and distorted.

There are extra panes included with each set.

Ideal if you’re after some high quality hardwood garage door, they just dont make them like they used to!
