Description
Wooden ‘Hardwood’ French doors.
Carefully removed by professional installers.
Condition
Pre-owned and has been previously installed.
Odd faint/ light mark in places, but nothing exactly noticeable.
There is residual mastic at the edges of the frame which could be removed, but would be hidden with trim when installed.
Not bowed or rotted at all.
Missing Parts / Defects
Defects:
Chipped on the handle holes but this would be covered when new handles are placed.
Couple screw holes next to hinges.
Cracks on the internal Georgian bars from old age.
Please see last photo/s relating to the defects.
Missing parts:
There is no frame for this item, so you would need to get one made up by a carpenter or use your existing frame if possible.
Handles, one hinge missing, however these can be purchased online or from your local merchant at a low expense.
Colour
The colour externally and internally is White, but could easily be stripped down if you wanted the original wood grain showing
Has matching coloured furniture.
Operating / Style
Internally opening doors.
When viewing from the outside, the main traffic door is located on the Right.
Hinges/ locks could be altered (holes may need to be filled) if you wanted the door opening/ operating another way.
Security
multipoint ‘Legge’ locking system (including top / bottom corners) making it very secure.
Main lock would need to be changed as there is no key.
Glazing
Glazing is original, single glazed and Clear.
Has Georgian Bars stuck externally on the glazing, these can be removed if required, leaving plain glass.
Ideal if you’re after some high quality door at a fraction of the original price, as to order these new direct would cost considerably more.
