1930s Original reclaimed/ antique Wooden ‘Hardwood’ front door.
Would cost around £1,000 if you were to order new direct (when fully complete in frame).
Carefully removed by professional installers.
Condition
Pre-owned and has been previously installed.
Odd faint/ light mark in places, but nothing exactly noticeable.
There is residual mastic at the edges of the frame which could be removed, but would be hidden with trim when installed.
Not bowed or rotted at all.
Missing Parts / Defects
Defects:
Few cracks in the paint
Please see last photo/s relating to the defects.
Missing parts:
There is no frame for this item, so you would need to get one made up by a carpenter or use your existing frame if possible.
Letterbox internal cover missing, however these can be purchased online or from your local merchant at a low expense.
Colour
The colour externally is Matt Sky Blue and internally White, but could easily be stripped down if you wanted the original wood grain showing
Has gold hinges.
Operating / Style
Previously installed to open Inwards to the right when being opened from the outside.
Security
Multipoint ‘ERA’ locking system making it very secure.
There are no keys with this item so the Yale lock will need to be changed.
Glazing
Glazing is original, single glazed, 4mm thick and distorted.
Decorative leaded glass, with a lovely patterned design.
Leaded small pieces of coloured glass
Ideal if you’re after some high quality door at a fraction of the original price, as to order these new direct would cost considerably more.
